GSP475 Course Project Second Life! WK4 Progress 3 Q/A

• How do virtual goods get bought and sold in SL?
• Some will work on the products and I felt that that's one way to make money. Once you sold the product, you will make money from the people online that bought your product  If you want to buy their stuff, you have to find out via online or message. 
• What types of virtual goods are on sale and how does the economy of virtual goods sales work in relationship to the broader online economy?
• I went to the free store around the newcomer area. I went there and change of my clothes, including shirts, hats, shoes, pants, etc. I felt that I'm who I am. 

Really? Nooo, Stupid Glitches

Glitches?

Well, it didn't turn out right when I'm working on the project, including to make the video. I also realizing that it must be the computers that I'm using for documentation and others. The other laptop is consider the one that I do the videos and commentary throughout the series.

Enough said. It's time for the summary. Well even though I'm some kind of ghost, there was a holiday for the party and I  think it was consider one of their events. I looked around, and I find that there was more people than it was before. I don't how, but it was great. Meet up with familiar face, but didn't get to chance to talk since they dance around non-stop. And of course I'm still broke after trying out the gambling. Well, I'm more like an adventure after all. 

Project Outline Week 4

Well, since we know how Week 2 is considering Course Project, we might as well update how the blogs should work for Project Outline Week 4.

As for the course project questions, I have to divided the work because it save my time, rather doing all of the post in the final week. Also, blogging will be currently updated as time goes by. Lastly, I have to make sure that videos and some images are currently updated. Since I realized that I was falling behind I, have to step up my game.

Week 1: Looking at Week 1, we know that we are preparing to start playing the Second Life as the project. During that time, I begin to research about the game and downloading at the same time. On Wednesday, September 4, 2013, I finish downloading and proceed to work.

Week 2: Now that we started working on blogging, and it's been a while, I'm working on gameplay, including to upload the images. It's consider the most aspect of showing that I do play the game and giving my thoughts about progress. It took me the longest time because it's been a while that I used PC Games.

However, I felt that I'm evolving as progress goes on.

Week 3: Even though I did some essays, including doing other class, I felt that I did the part, but I realized that every post that I to uploaded, is consider progress, instead of changing  topic, which I blew it, which it can affect my final project.

Week 4: After realizing the mistake, I add more videos and images because I felt that I want to get the better grade, along reaching professor's expectation. However, I felt that I can do more than what I can be capable. I think I arranged time so that I can post it more.

Week 5: Planning to add more videos and images because it will improve my grade and the progress. I will also try something new, even if it goes out of my comfort zone. I'll be streaming the videos on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday Morning in order to work on the videos and images. Then editing on Thursday and Friday 

Week 6: Same plans and rearranging the time to meet the deadline, including to have day that are consider free for my current project and other class.  Making a schedule to review post and updating the post, including to add new post. 

Week 7: Finalizing the questions that were given for GSP Project, including posting the progress, along with videos and images.

Week 8: Final Presentation and answering all the FAQ Questions.

Of course we went everywhere because of endless adventure, We went though a lot of places within a minute or so because we want to try out the new location. Bit of bombed that I have to walk around without any socializing. 

I felt that the pc games is consider making me uneasy because I'm more like on the console type, and I do apologize about being rude. However, it can only motivate me to build up social conversation as time goes by. I don't when it happens, but I hope that it can help me soon.

Welcome for the Video live of Joshua Hwang's Progress. Well, to meet the Professor's expectation, we are going to upload the videos and the images in order to help myself up with better grades. My friend, who is also playing said that I should go home because I'm drunk! What the heck. I don't even drink at all. Anyway.... We are at the party, since it's consider the celebration at night time, which means party don't stop until we get kicked out the security. I felt that I need some kind of relax before Everything will be thrown at me such as work, school, and family. I might chill in this place before I jumped to bed (reality home, not virtual).

• List five people you met online per week. Who were they, what did they hope to get out of SL and how did they view you?

• You will not have a customized avatar (unless you pay for one). Is how you are treated as a 'newbie' different from how those are treated who have custom avatars etc?
• Honesty that they didn't care about seeing me as newbie or newcomer because they are too busy to deal with their own business. Surprise that they want me to party instead.

Honestly, who doesn't love Samsung. I was talking with my friend who is technoloic (similar to alcoholic, but as in Technology). I asked him that in the future, who will gain supreme to take over the world if it was between Apple and Samsung. He simply said Samsung and I asked him why. During the time, there was convention about technologies and phones called CES, also known as Consumer Electronics Show. It demonstrate various types of gadgets such as phones, tablets, etc. He demonstrate the video that involves with Samsung live videos and it show on the gadget that is consider under prototype. So during the time, I was literally speechless because there was several features that comes in and I never notice or it was completely new. I was thinking that it could help the company thoughout the world and it can be possible chance of problem solving beceause you don't have to pay extra money for warranty and fixing the screen. In matter of fact, it can be easier than done in the future. So I asked him when that product comes out and he simply said he doesn't know, but he wanted that product for his future jobs. I do admit that  I wanted to the product. 

So in your thought, can this technologies change the world? My response will be yes because it can easier to carry a phone that can be a tablet so you don't have to carry two of the gadgets the same time. Also you can use the same apps, which that won't be an issue as well.

Phones Battle: iPhone 5S vs Samsung Galaxy S4

  
   Now that I decided to have the second project: Second Life as own post, while I talk about technologies that caught my attention. The two of the phones appear in the same year, which is Samsung's Galaxy S4 in the first half of the year, while the Apple introduce iPhone 5S. Now that people would like to ask which one has the advantage and something that other phones don't have. 

Samsung Galaxy S4: One of the most popular of Samsung products that we cannot argue. If you look at my church or any of relatives, they have Samsung Products, but few have Galaxy S4. I asked them what cause them to buy the product and they responded with bigger screen and it cable to multitask, such as text message while watching the videos. Also, if they are looking at the something that get the attention the video will paused until you press play. I loved Samsung and how they evolve into something that can be always phenomenon. 

iPhone 5s: Consider the world's most wanted phones as of right since it was release recently. Since the ihpone recently is fast, I found the site that explained about why this person loved and hated about the phone. Smith stated that it was more faster than last phone, the weight is light and strong, and screen has been improve while that he criticized that he have to buy the new cord, it doesn't have enough support for Verizon and some of the feature are yet fall behind. 

Overall in my opinion: Both phones are consider populars and it can help out people, which I do admit, despite that I'm not a fan of Apple products. If you want to know if they have the protection, you can watch iPhone 5S (and other iPhone 5C) and Samsung Galaxy S4 (and iPhone 5) to see how much it can endure the damage such as crack and scratches. I really don't care about the drops, but any support for the family or person is consider a well job done.

Additional funny moment and my opinion: I might head to Samsung phones. My mother gave me several reasons why I should get Samsung as I approach to find my first job.

• You're Korean, so you must have Samsung products.
• Apple is no good for you because the screen is too small. 
• You're brother had his eye check and his doctor explain that that it got worse.
• Lastly, you need to do multitask so that you don't fall behind.

GSP475 Course Project Second Life! WK2 Q/A and Progress 3

So I believed that I have done playing Second Life on Week 1 and now starting Week 2. I also, answer question for Week 1. I did played a little bit at Sunday Night. I'm currently working on the question... well, Answering the week 2 question doesn't sound bad and it's time for me to work on it..

• Now that you have been in SL for a week, what types of behaviors do you notice about your own relationship to the world and that of others toward you?
  Honestly, some of the people are consider minding their own daily business and some just greet me and leave. I guess it's similar to the same the world, where there are full on strangers and there isn't anyone who offers to show friendship. I think it's hard to get in good relationship and only to be part of it is going to club or dining. 
• What type of people do you imagine are mostly attracted to life within SL?
  I haven't got the idea of it, but a decent relationship or good communication that we can get along. Something that we have in common, and which it takes a while. Hopefully it happens.
• List five types of virtual goods for sale this week - how much were they? Who would use them?
• Animals: They accompany you throughout the game some might have you calm down from stress and some might wanted to play with you. It mostly depends what you aim for. Once example will be having Husky Pet Dog, but  it is very expensive. I mean really expensive like around 1400 - 1500 SL Dollars!
• Hairstyle: Variety of types that can really help you change your hair style. Some of them wanted to make themselves beautiful and handsome and of course getting their style changed. Price might be 0 SL Dollars, but most of them are very expensive. 
• Towel and Umbrella: I mostly pass by beaches once as I move on, and I found some of the product near the stores. I would get a towel and umbrella, just to relax. However, I found it around 80 SL dollars, which it isn't that bad, but I might need more money if I want to relax. 
• Shoes: Like I said before, you need fashion taste, so by applying it to yourself, you have to wear some clothes that can match your shoe or other way around. I found it in theWareHouse, which they offer it for 100 SL Dollars! How cool is that? 
• Hat: Pretty much, you nee something to look yourself look cool, just like you have some fashion taste. I'm sure that the price is roughly 100 SL Dollars and if Not, 200 SL Dollar should be sufficient.

Interesting gift. I suppose that isn't that bad.

Well, it seem that there is the feature that I haven't try and that is teleport port that can head to one location to another. I find that interesting, but at the same time, I have to make sure that there few people that can  appear in the stages or location. I tried that and found this location and I think it has to have name with Galaxy Free Gift. I think most of them are free, but I never knew that there are some you have to pay, which that doesn't a bad deal. I went to that location (the red stairs) and notice that it's a bit strange. The more I go up, the less suspicious approached. I finally reach to top and notice that most of them are adult gifts and I just went back to downstairs because... not there yet. However, something tells me that most of gifts are going to be used for Romance or Clubbing.

....Yea, I'm not going to gamble. 

So here we are in week 2 Progress. So after walking around the club, I figure that I might as explore to new different location. I was playing around with the movement that can affect us as I progress. I notice that there is a fly button, so I clicked on it and flew about few seconds. By the time I landed , I notice that there are a casino. I never gamble for my life because it doesn't fit my personality and I don't gamble (in religious term, it's a sin). So I looked around the casino and some of them are cheap and you can make some money if you win the product. However, there are some side effect if you mess up and that is if you don't win with all of the money, the game is over. Well, that enough said, it's time to move on the next journey.
